Muscle energy technique is a way to normalize the motion of a joint, such as shoulders, hips, sacrum, spinal segments (vertebra) and so on, using precise positioning of your body by your therapist and your own muscles movement in a specific and gentle direction. Effecting change in muscle or tissue to restore motion. It is gentle and non-invasive to the body. (Most often, significant improvements in balance, structure and diminished aches and pains are seen even after just one treatment).
MFR is a hands on treatment that involves the therapist applying pressure to the body to locate and release trigger points or knots, in the fascia. The fascial system is made up of dense, elastic connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, nerves, and blood vessels.
